Chapter 67 - Pokemon Day Care Breeding Centre!

Rize and Ling have finally make it out from Ilex Forest and is now on route 34 very near to Golden Rod City.
Ling: Rize before we go to Golden Rod City, I want you to visit a place in this route 34.
Ling brought Rize to a Pokemon Day Care Breeding Centre.
Rize: Pokemon Day Care Breeding Centre??
Day Care Man: Yes! You can let your Pokemon stay here with us and we will train your Pokemon for you!
Ling: He's my other Grandpa! Let's go in and see around.
Day Care Lady: Welcome Ling! And who's there with you?
Ling: He's my friend from Hoenn Region Rize! He's the one who gave me Azurill 2 years ago!
Rize: Good Morning! I'm Rize, nice to meet you!
Day Care Lady: Oohh.. Very well so do you want to look around we have many rare Pokemon here..



Rize checked all these Pokemon with his Pokedex.
Day Care Lady: Do you know why I call them rare Pokemon? They actually can't be found here in the Johto region as their parents are natively from Kanto. Trainers from Kanto that are travelling here in Johto let their Pokemon train here and eventually meet with other kind of their species and mate an egg. Since they don't want to take the eggs, the eggs hatched into these Pokemon and stayed here.
Ling: Grandma! Since they don't belong to anybody can I have the Cleffa! It's just so cute and adorable!
Day Care Lady: Ofcourse you can have it my dear.. Oh Rize! You can choose any one you want too since you gave Ling a Pokemon back then, just treat this as the way I thank you.
Ling: Allright! Thanks Grandma! Cleffa hello! I'm your Trainer now! Rize which one will you choose?
Rize: Hmm... maybe I'll get the Electric type since I don't have any Electric Type Pokemon yet.. But is there any others?
Day Care Lady: These is all we have but we have one more here but it's still an Egg! Do you want this Egg instead?
Rize: Allright! I take the Egg then! Waiting the Egg to hatch is pretty exciting as we don't know what kind of Pokemon will hatch from it!
Day Care Lady: You're one interesting lad.. take care of this Egg then..
Rize received the Pokemon Egg from the Day Care Lady.
Ling: Wow Rize! When that Egg have hatched make sure you call me and let me know what Pokemon that hatch from it okay?
Rize: Sure! It maybe take quite awhile to hatch tough..
Ling: Okay, you'll be going to Golden Rod City for Gym battle right? I'll be staying here first with Grandpa and Grandma, good luck for the Gym battle!
Rize: Thanks! You too good luck on the Pokemon Contest! See you all again!
Rize and Ling parted way and now Rize is about to challenge the Golden Rod Gym Leader for a badge! What kind of exciting match will he get in the Gym? And what Pokemon will hatch from the Egg? Keep Reading to find out!

Chapter 66 - The Mysterious Shrine in Ilex Forest!

The next day, Rize continued his journey but this time Ling went together with him as they are heading for the same destination, Golden Rod City. But before that they have to pass through Ilex Forest to get there. As they are enjoying the beautiful scene in the forest, their Pokemon also walk alongside with them enjoying the nature.
Rize: So what makes you wanna go to Golden Rod City?
Ling: There's a Pokemon Contest there! And this  time I'm going to win for sure!
Rize: Oh I see.. how did last year's Grand Contest goes by the way?
Ling: I didn't make it..
Rize: This year you will win!
Ling: Yes! I'm looking for a Pokemon to catch in this forest! There are many Grass type Pokemon here..
They keep walking and saw lots of Pokemon.




Rize: There's lot of cute Grass Type already, don't you want any of them?
Ling: No.. The one I'm looking for haven't come been seen yet. Ah that's the one!

Rize: What's that..(Rize checked his Pokedex)

" Oddish the Weed Pokemon. It is a Grass and Poison type. Oddish often plants its root feet in the ground during the day and sow seeds as it walks about at night. "

Ling: But there must be it's evolution living here as well, I want its evolution form. Ah there!

Rize: What?! You want that one?!
Ling: Yup! Mareep use Thunder Wave!

Mareep used Thunder Wave and Paralysed the Gloom.
Rize: Careful! It's going to attack!
The Gloom attacked and emitted a strong Poison Powder.
Ling: Mareep Cotton Guard!
Mareep used Cotton Guard to protect from the Poison Powder.
Ling: Mareep Thunder Shock!
The Gloom was shocked with the Thunder Shock attack and was captured by Ling.
Rize: You caught it! But I still don't understand what did you see from that Pokemon that you want to catch it, isn't there many other Pokemon that looks cuter than that?
Ling: You can't judge a Pokemon's appearance from its current form you know.. See this!
Ling send out Gloom and used an item to it and it started to shine..

Rize: What did you do to it?
Ling; I use this Sun Stone to make it evolve!
Rize: Evolve??

The Gloom evolved into a beautiful Bellossom.

" Bellossom the Flower Pokemon and the evolved form of Gloom. Bellossom gather at times and seem to dance. They say that the dance is a ritual to summon the sun. "

Ling: See... The Gloom have now become a Beautiful Bellossom..
Rize: It's so beautiful now! Come to think of it I remember my Milotic used to be a bad looking Pokemon Feebas too! Pokemon are really unpredictable and amazing!
Suddenly they saw a green flashing light from the woods infront of them flashing to the sky so beautifully.
Rize: Hey what's that beautiful light? Maybe it's a Pokemon! Let's check it out!
Rize and Ling hurried to check what is actually producing the light but when they came they just saw a small Shrine and the light disappeared.

Rize: I'm pretty sure the light must have come out from this shrine!
Ling: Could this be a home to a wild Pokemon? Look there's a sign! It says Ilex Forest Shrine.. A Tribute to the Forest Protector..
Rize: Could it be that this is a home of a Legendary Pokemon that lives and protect this forest?
Ling: Maybe.. It will be such a fortunate if we are able to see the forest protector..
Rize: Yeah.. anyway let's get out of this forest! It's getting dark too!
Ling and Rize found a mysterious shrine in Ilex Forest, what is it actually? Could it really be a home of a Legendary Pokemon that protects the forest?

Chapter 65 - Secret Activity in the Slowpoke's Well!

Rize and Kurt together went into the Slowpoke's Well to check on what is going on inside and they saw by their own eyes a very terrible activuty by the evil organization Team Rocket.
Rocket Grunt: How did you people get here?!
Kurt: What are you people doing in such a place like this?!
Rocket Grunt: Shut the hell up! Slugma burn them to death!

" Slugma the Lava Pokemon. It is a Fire type. Slugma's body is made of magma. If it doesn't keep moving, its body will cool and harden. That's why it never go to sleep. "

Rize: Marshtomp Water Pulse!
The Water Pulse put Slugma out of commission.
Rocket Grunt: Damn! Hey we got an emergency!!


Rocket Senior: Well well.. what do we have here? an uninvited guests?
Kurt: Who are you guys and what are you up to?!
Proton: We are Team Rocket a Secret Organization from Kanto and I am Proton the senior level of the Grunts.
Kurt: What are you doing in such a place like this?! And are you responsible for the missing Slowpokes in this town?!
Proton: Ohh.. You mean these dumb fellas.. we are selling their tails for cash! You know their tails are very deilicious you know..
Kurt: What?! You cut their tails and sell them for cash?!!
Proton: Yes.. I'll let you see for yourself.. Bring a Slowpoke here!
A Rocket Grunt brings a Slowpoke to Proton.
Proton: Now Granbull use Crunch and rip this stupid Slowpoke's tail apart!


Granbull used Crunch and rip off Slowpoke's tail from its body.
Kurt: That's crazy!! Enough!! Stantler go!
Proton: Grunts go shut them down!
Rize: Oh no you don't! Hoothoot use Hypnosis!
Kurt: Stantler you too!
Stantler and Hoothoot put the whole Rocket Grunts to sleep.
Proton: Damn this useless Grunts! I guess it's all up to me now! Granbull use Crunch!
Stantler was attacked with Crunch and it looks like it hurt alot.
Kurt: Stantler noo!!
Rize: Damn you..!!
Proton: Hahaha! Anyway we got enough funds from this project and we don't need these Slowpokes anymore.. you can collect them back now see you again sucker!
Proton throws a smoke ball and escaped.
Rize: Damn! He escaped! Kurt I'm sorry for not able to help much!
Kurt: It's okay Rize! You helped alot! Now let's get the Slowpokes back! I'll call the police to arrest these sleeping Grunts." But it's weird.. he don't mind letting these Grunts get arrested?! "
Rize and Kurt get the Slowpokes back into Azalea Town and get them treat in the Pokemon Centre while the Rocket Grunts were arrested by the Police.
Lyra: Slowpoke! I'm glad you're back! Cruel Team Rocket for ripping your tail but I'm more than glad that you're back and your missing tail too..
Kurt: Yeah.. But their senior escaped.. I gotta go with the Police to the Police office to tell them the details of what actually happen. Take care Lyra! Ling! and you too Rize!
Ling&Lyra: Becareful Grandpa!
Rize: Hey Ling what pokemon is that with you? New Pokemon?

Ling: Oh yea.. Prof.Elm's assistant came here while you go to the Well with Grandpa and handed me a Pokemon Egg and the Egg hatched into this little Pokemon. It's called Togepi..
Rize checked his Pokedex.

" Togepi the Spike Ball Pokemon. It is a Normal type. Its shell is said to be stuffed with happiness that it shares with kindhearted people. "

Rize: That's a cute Pokemon! Everytime a Pokemon Egg is given to you it hatched! Maybe you should become a Pokemon Breeder! Haha..
Thanks to Rize and Kurt the Slowpokes are back and Team Rocket have been arrested for their criminal doing, but their senior Proton managed to escape! What are Team Rocket's true objective?!

Chapter 64 - Save the Slowpokes!

As in the last chapter, Rize is having a difficult time trying to capture a wild Aipom and in a sudden, Ling appeared and seems to know the secret of the special Pokeball, Fast Ball.
Rize: So how does this Fast Ball works anyway?
Ling: That Fast Ball is made specially to capture fast Pokemon! You can catch a fast moving pokemon even without weaken it first as long as you are able to throw and hit the Pokemon while it is moving in a fast speed!
Rize: I see! So that's why the Fast Ball rejected Aipom so many times as I throw it when Aipom is not moving.
Ling:  Right! Now focus and throw the Fast Ball while it's moving!
Rize: ...... " Damn! It's too fast! How am I able to aim like this?!"
Ling: Bayleef go and use Sweet Scent!

The Sweet Scent made Aipom easier to aim.
Ling: Now!
Rize: Go Fast Ball!
The Fast Ball hit and captured Aipom in instance.
Kurt: Well done! Even tough you've made it through the help of my granddaughter but still you're quite a trainer!
Rize: Granddaughter?? Ling, Kurt's your grandpa?
Ling: Yup! Hehe!
Kurt: Now actually I was testing you to see if you're a good trainer or not.
Rize: Testing me? For what?
Kurt: I need a strong trainer to save the Slowpokes of this town from an evil group of people! Ling recommended you but I couldn't trust you before I test you by myself! The Gym Battle is also one of my test!
Rize: Well.. okayy so what's about this evil group of people? And what's a Slowpoke anyway.. (Rize checked his Pokedex)

" Slowpoke the Dopey Pokemon. It is a Water and Psychic type Pokemon. Altough slow, it is skilled at fishing with its tail. It does not feel pain if its tail is bitten. "

Kurt: The Slowpokes of this Town have been missing since a few days ago. And I suspect that some group of people kidnapped them and hide them at the Slowpoke's Well.
Rize: Come to think of it! I once met a person guarding the Slowpoke's Well telling me it was dangerous! Maybe that guy was actually preventing people from checking the Well!
Kurt: That must be it! Rize let's go to the Slowpoke's Well! Ling you stay at my house!
Rize and Kurt went into the Well and saw the person still guarding the Well.
Rize: What do we do now?
Kurt: Leave it to me! Stantler use Hypnosis on that guard!

The person guarding the well went into a deep sleep and Rize and Kurt went into inside of the Well. What kind of evil group is waiting down there?!

Chapter 63 - Fast Ball and the Fast Aipom!

Continuing from the last chapter, Rize was in a great pinch with his battle against FeiChong!
FeiChong: Finish it with Poison Sting!
Rize: Hoothoot use Confusion maximum power! Give it everything you got!
Hoothoot sent back the Poison Sting to Spinarak and hit Spinarak with maximum power Confusion attack which is super effective.
Referee: Spinarak is unable to battle! Hoothoot wins! The challenger Rize wins the match!
Rize: Yes!! Hoothoot you're great!
FeiChong: Nooo!! How can I lose to you again?! How is Hoothoot able to turn things around like that?!
Rize: Enough chatter and give me the badge right away!

Rize earned his 2nd Johto Gym Badge which is the Junior Hive Badge. He then went to Pokemon Centre to rest and stay for the night. The next day..
Rize: Hey old man Kurt I'm back for my special Pokeball! Is it ready yet?
Kurt: It's done for quite awhile already! Here take this! It turned into a Fast Ball! You can catch a fast and agile Pokemon with this ball better!

Rize: Wow! Looks pretty cool! Can't believe an Apricorn can really turn into this! Maybe you just buy this Fast Ball somewhere and lied that you actually make it from the Apricorn..
Lyra: No way! Grandpa is really the Pokeball maker Expert!
Kurt: And only high experienced level Pokemon Trainer can use my special Pokeball! I'm not sure that you can use it.
Rize: What's the big deal? I just use it like normal Pokeballs..
Kurt: Hm! Don't just talk and catch a Pokemon with that ball and come back here if you have succeeded!
Rize: Fine! But it looks like I'm being ordered around since I came to your house!
So Rize went outside searching for wild Pokemon to catch and he saw a very fast and agile Pokemon climbing the trees very swiftly. Rize checked his Pokedex.

" Aipom the Long Tail Pokemon. It is a Normal type. Aipom lives high among the tree tops. Its tail is so powerful that it can use it to grab a tree branch and hold itself up in the air. "

Rize: Aipom! It must be a very fast Pokemon! Fast Ball go!
Rize threw the Fast Ball at Aipom but it didnt even absorb Aipom.
Rize: What?! That old man lied!
The angry Aipom attacked Rize.
Rize: Marshtomp use Water Pulse!
The speedy Aipom dodged Marshtomp Water Pulse and attacked with Fury Swipes!
Rize: Marshtomp Rock Smash!
This time Marshtomp Rock Smash succesfully hit Aipom.
Rize: Allright! Fast Ball go!
But again Fast Ball just hit Aipom and went back to Rize.
Rize: What the?! This thing is really useless!
Ling: Hihi.. There's a secret way to catch Pokemon using Kurt's special Pokeball.
Rize: Ling?! Why're you here?!

Chapter 62 - Bug Type Pokemon Gym and the Bug Freak Gym Leader!

Rize arrived into Kurt's house as Kurt is going to make his special Pokeball from the White Apricorn.

A little girl with a cute two little ponytails approached and talked to Rize. The girl is 9 years old.
Lyra: Hi! I'm Lyra Kurt's granddaughter!
Rize: Hi! I'm Rize your grandfather's customer!
Lyra: Wow! You must be quite the trainer for being my grandfather's customer.
Rize: Hm? Why is that?
Kurt: Rize I haven't told you that I need 1 day to make the special Pokeball for you so why don't you go and challenge this Town's Gym first.
Rize: Right! Great Idea! So I'll come back again tomorrow to take my special Pokeball then!
Lyra: Bye big brother!
So Rize went into the Gym and challenge the Gym Leader for a battle but the Gym Leader is someone he knew.
Referee: The battle between Rize the Challenger and FeiChong the Junior Gym Leader is about to begin! It's a 2 on 2 Pokemon Battle and only the Challenger is allowed to switch Pokemon between the match!
Rize: FeiChong?! Since when did you become the Gym Leader here?!
FeiChong: I was travelling in Johto and when I found this paradise place I immediately made up my mind to become the Gym Leader. So I participated in the audition and here I am!
Rize: Paradise??
FeiChong: This place is the coolest Gym ever!! Oh yea this is a perfect timing for payback at the Hoenn League!
Rize: Ha! Bring it on! Cyndaquil let's go!
FeiChong: I'll show you my new Bug Pokemon! Pineco go!

Referee: Begin!

" Pineco the Bagworm Pokemon. It is a Bug type. Pineco looks just like a pinecone. Its shell protects it from bird Pokemon that peck it by mistake. "

Rize: You sure have a weird taste for Pokemon! I'll let you go first since I'm going to win with 1 move anyway.
FeiChong: You'll regret that! Pineco use Spikes!
Pineco poured alot of Spikes on Rizes' field side.
Rize: What the hell're you doing?
FeiChong: Now Toxic Spikes!
Pineco poured lots of Toxic Spikes on Rizes' field side.
Rize: I got enough of your useless attacks! Cyndaquil use Flame Wheel!
Cyndaquil attacked Pineco with Flame Wheel and it should have take it down. But..
FeiChong: Haha! Pineco's abillity Sturdy make it endured to your fire attack and thanks for coming near into us! Pineco use Explosion!
Cyndaquil was hit by the Explosion and knocked out but so do Pineco.
Referee: Both Cyndaquil and Pineco is knocked out!
Rize: Cyndaquil noo!
FeiChong: Haha! I've sealed your Fire Pokemon away! Let's finish this Spinarak!

" Spinarak the String Spit Pokemon. It is a Bug and Poison type. Spinarak sets a trap by spinning a web with thin but strong silk. "

Rize: I can still win that little thing without a Fire Type! Hoothoot let's go!
Rizes' Hoothoot entered the battle field but it suddenly take damage from Spikes and poisoned by Toxic Spikes.
Rize: What?!
FeiChong: Hahaha! The useless moves you said earlier are now killing you! You did well for choosing a Flying Type but your Hoothoot didn't fly and stand on the ground! These moves only take effects on a newly switch Pokemon!
Rize: Damn it! Hoothoot hang tough!
FeiChong: Spinarak Poison Sting!
Rize: Hoothoot dodge and use Peck!
FeiChong: Intercept with String Shot!
Hoothoot was bind up with String Shot before it could land the Peck Attack and  the Poison keep on inflicting damage on Hoothoot.
Rize: Hoothoot Hypnosis!
Spinarak was not affected by the Hypnosis.
FeiChong: Hahaha! My Spinarak have the Insomnia abillity! Now finish that Hoothoot with Poison Sting!
The preserved move Hypnosis was unfortunately not useful against Spinarak. Will Rize still be able to turn things round and win?! Find out on the next chapter!

Chapter 61 - Apricorn turned into Special Pokeballs?

Rize have finally arrived to Azalea Town after travelling through the Union Cave from Route 32 to Route 33. It took Rize a whole week to travel to Azalea Town on foot and Rize and his Pokemon are so tired.
Rize: Ah! I heard that Azalea Town have a famous well that contain delicious fresh water! Let's go there folks.
Man in Black: Stop right there kid! The well's water is not safe to drink anymore! It is contaminated by some unknown poison! If you drink it you will die! That's why I'm guarding this place now! Aren't I a good Samaritan?
Rize: Oh? I see.. well that's too bad then folks! I guess we'll just go to Pokemon centre then!
Rize left the well and went to Azalea's Pokemon Centre.
Man in Black: Fufufu.. these people are too easy to deceived.
Rize: Ahhh!! How refreshing! How do you guys feel? Must be much better!
Rizes' Pokemon: Growl...!!
Rize: Allright return to your Pokeballs!
???: Hm! You're still using normal Pokeballs! You must be a rookie Trainer!
Rize: What?! Rookie?! I make it to the top 16 in the Junior Category in the Hoenn League! And anyway who are you old man?

Kurt: I'm not just any old man!! I'm the famous Ball maker Kurt! I made specially designed Pokeballs from Apricorn for higher level Trainers to catch Pokemon!
Rize: Never heard of it! So there's a different types of Pokeballs?
Kurt: Did you notice that Gym Leaders use a different Pokeballs in Blue colour?
Rize: hmm... Oh yea I remember!

Kurt: That's a Great Ball! Every Gym Leader use that as their standard Pokeball! But me, Kurt creates Pokeball that are far better than the Great Balls!
Rize: Wow! And you make them from Apricorns? I thought they are useless fruits that are uneatable!

Kurt: Fool! Long ago in the past before your Pokeball exist people use my specially hand made Pokeballs from those Apricorns! And each Balls created from different coloured Apricorn have different effects on catching Pokemon too!
Rize: Wow! I have this White Apricorn! Can you turn it into a special Pokeball for me?
Kurt: Ofcourse! Let's go to my house! Hehe but it won't be for free ofcourse..
