Chapter 10 - Dewford Gym Battle!

Finally Rize is challenging the Dewford Gym Leader. The Dewford Gym's battle arena is just plain simple with no special field.
Referee: The battle between the Junior Gym Leader, Brocoly and the challenger Rize is about to take place! It's a 2 on 2 Pokemon match! Only the challenger is allowed to make a substitution.
Brocoly: Meditite Go!

Rize: Who's that Pokemon?(Rize took our his Pokedex)

" Meditite the Meditate Pokemon. It is a Fighting and Psychic type Pokemon. Meditite never misses its daily yoga workouts, and it heightens its spiritual power through meditation. It eats just one berry a day. By enduring hunger, its spirit is tempered and made sharper. "

Rize: " Combination of both Fighting and Psychic type! This can be tough! " Taillow Go!
Referee: Match begin!
Rize: Let's win this quick! Taillow Wing Attack!
Brocoly: Meditite Detect!
Meditite detected Taillow's Wing Attack and avoided it.
Rize: Quick Attack then!
Brocoly: Stop it with your Confusion!
Meditite stopped Taillow's attack with Confusion and throw away Taillow.
Rize: Taillow shake it off and fly!
Taillow flew away and avoided damage from Confusion.
Rize: "How are we going to beat that Confusion attack?!" Steel Wing now!
Brocoly: Another Detect!
Once again Meditite detected and avoided Taillow's attack.
Brocoly: Now use your Confusion again!
Rize: Taillow Double Team!
Taillow made lots of fake images of itself with Double Team to avoid Confusion.
Rize: Now Wing Attack!
The whole hologram of Taillow used Wing Attack thus making Meditite unable to detect all of them and get hit with the real Taillow and knocked out.
Referee: Meditite is down! Taillow is the winner!
Brocoly: Not bad! Makuhita yout turn now!

" Makuhita the Guts Pokemon. It is a Fighting type Pokemon. Makuhita toughens up by slamming into thick trees over and over. It gains a sturdy body and dauntless spirit. "

Rize: We'll win this! Taillow Quick Attack!
Brocoly: Makuhita intercept with Fake Out!
Just before Taillow could hit Makuhita, Makuhita hit Taillow first with Fake Out and Taillow is flinched.
Brocoly: Now Karate Chop!
Referee: Taillow is knocked out! Makuhita Wins!
Rize: Mudkip! It's you! Use Water Gun!
Brocoly: Counter with Karate Chop!
Makuhita Rip apart Mudkip's Water Gun with Karate Chop!
Brocoly: Focus Energy!
Rize: "This is it!" Mudkip Bide!
Brocoly: Vital Throw!
Makuhita threw Mudkip hard but Mudkip just endure it.
Rize: "Hang on!! I'm sure you can!"
Brocolly: You're not going to attack? Then Good-bye! Makuhita final strike! Karate Chop!!
Mudkip was hit with a critical hit Karate Chop and almost knocked out! However it gets up again and unleashed a powerful attack from the damage it received and knocked out Makuhita!
Referee: Makuhita is unable to battle! Therefore victory goes to the challenger Rize!!
Rize: I knew you can take the hit!
Brocoly: That was awesome! You're very skillful! Here's your Junior Knuckle Badge.
